About this route
Start beneath the walls of Mont Orgueil Castle and follow the east coast north past the bays of Anne Port and Archirondel, with its red-and-white tower, to the long breakwater at St Catherine.
The route climbs away from the shore in a couple of places, so expect proper hills on the way out and back. The reward is a café at the breakwater and harbour views all the way home.
Coaching notes
Draft notes, awaiting review by our instructors.
- Hill practice: shorten your stride and keep your effort even on the climbs, not your pace.
- Turnaround treat: the breakwater café is the halfway point. Many runners make this a coffee run.
