About this route
Two of the island’s favourite running routes in one: the flat sweep of St Aubin’s Bay, then up the old railway line to La Corbière lighthouse. The second half climbs gently, which builds strength for race day without wrecking your legs.
It’s a great long run for half-marathon and marathon plans. Run it as it is for a steady 11 km, or add a loop of St Aubin to stretch it further.
Coaching notes

- Negative split: run the flat promenade at an easy pace and save your effort for the Railway Walk climb.
- Fuel stop: St Aubin, at about 5 km, has cafés, water and toilets.
- Building up: run back to St Aubin from Corbière to make it roughly 17 km.
